Events

At York Public School, our events enrich learning, strengthen our school community and create lasting memories for our students. Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of educational, sporting, cultural and community activities that encourage confidence, teamwork and school pride.

Our events also provide valuable opportunities for families to be involved in school life and celebrate their child's learning and achievements.

Throughout the year, our school hosts a variety of events, including:

• Kindergarten orientation and transition programs
• School sports carnivals and sporting events
• Open Day and Grandparents Day celebrations
• Harmony Week, Book Week and other special events
• Excursions and educational incursions
• Performances, concerts and school productions
• Fundraising and community events
• Award assemblies and student recognition ceremonies
• Year 6 Graduation and other milestone celebrations

Paying for School Activities

We know families appreciate convenience. Through the Sentral for Parents app, you can easily provide permission and make secure online payments for excursions, camps and other school activities.

To help families manage costs, payments can be made in full or in instalments over time, provided the total amount is paid by the activity's due date. We encourage parents and carers to submit permission responses as soon as possible, even if payment will be made closer to the due date.
