How York Public School is inspiring excellence
Supporting student transitions
At York Public School, our transition programs help students move confidently through key stages of their education. From Playgroup to Kindergarten and Year 6 to high school, these programs encourage students to feel safe and confident to start the next stage of their learning journey.
Growing confidence and strength
Our sporting, High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) and Creative Arts programs empower students to discover their strengths, extend their abilities and build confidence. Through PSSA gala days, representative teams and opportunities in dance, band and choir, students develop creativity and teamwork which creates motivated and capable learners who are confident to challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements.
Strong connection with culture and community
At York Public School, students develop a strong sense of respect and belonging for Aboriginal culture through meaningful connections with community and Country. Our Aboriginal Cultural Group and K–2 Dharug language learning experiences build students’ cultural understanding and strengthen relationships for diverse perspectives. These learning experiences broaden and develop their awareness to contribute positively to their community.
